God does the Unexpected

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimonies, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Revelation 12:11

It is amazing how God works. I was at the Mall the other day looking for a newspaper. I needed the newspaper because I am looking for a place for our church. We are moving from where we are and need another place. I decided to say hello to my friend Asif at the computer repair store.

After saying hello to Asif, and having talked for a few minutes, he asked me if I knew a lawyer. “Yes,” I told him. He wanted to go right away and asked if I could take him to see the lawyer. I had an hour to spare so we went.

On the way, I told Asif about my new Laptop. “It took you long enough.” He said, laughing.

In our conversation, somehow we began to speak about an overhead projector. I am not sure how we got on to that subject. However, I need one for the ministry: to display pictures of the work we do in India and Brazil, to project songs for us to sing along with at church, and for seminar uses, etc. As soon as I mentioned an overhead projector, Asif said, “Whenever you are ready, let me know.”

He can get me one for a very good price. So, I told him to look for one for me.

What is my point? Sometimes when you are seeking for one thing, along the way, God will provide something else that you need. Always be on the lookout for what the Lord will do. He promised to supply all our needs. Therefore the Lord is responsible to supply. Your responsibility is to believe, be looking, and sometimes you will have to knock on doors as well.

"My God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory." Philippians 4:19

"Ask, and it shall be given you, seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Matthew 7:7,8

“…But he who trusts in the Lord will be prospered.” Proverbs 28:25

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.” Luke 12:32 NKJV

God bless you!
