Focus on Success

Have you ever found yourself experiencing most of the things you have focused on – the things that you constantly feared or were anxious and worried about?

Perhaps you have been experiencing defeat, dejection and or discouragement. What have you been focused on in the last month or more? Think about it.

“Focus is the first step to SUCCESS. What you focus on is what you will have.”

Sometimes a person might be in such a mind set of defeat, that they are unable to get a job or a loan or promotion or whatever.

He is thinking so much that he will fail that when he approaches his boss, he is so afraid that it pours from him. He either turns back on his way to his boss or fear is seen so much that his boss is confident to say, “I will think about it.” He doesn’t get what he asks.

Someone else might not even send out the job application or show up for the interview because he or she is already defeated in her thinking. Or they might take the interview, but since there is no confidence because of fear, their demeanor and response is so negative that, though totally qualified they do not get the job.

“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3:1 -3 NKJV

Let your confidence be in the Lord! You can do all things through Him because He strengthens you and all things are possible to you when you believe - these are heavenly things to set your mind on and not on your circumstances.

“For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13 NKJV

Since it is God who works in you and through you, what is there to fear?

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.” Ephesians 6:10 KJV
