My 2013 expectation

What is your expectation for 2013? What do you believe that God is about to accomplish in the next year?

The number thirteen is looked upon as “unlucky,” as bad, and as evil by certain groups of people. However, we as Christians do not believe in “luck,” we believe in being blessed. We believe that we are blessed, and that good things happen in our lives because of our awesome God who blesses His children. Good things do not happen because of luck. They do not happen by chance. They happen because our God Jehovah ordains them to happen!

Therefore, the number thirteen does not scare us. We do not look at it as bad. So then, what can we expect from God in 2013?

To begin with, we must expect that the Lord will bless us and fulfill all His promises to us! His promises are yes and amen. Amen?

I believe that 2013 is a year when God will establish all that He began prior to this very moment. 2012 was looked upon as a year of government. I believe that to be the case. Our ministry alone launched two new ministries this year. And so, I believe that the Lord will establish especially what He began in 2012.

What is my foundation for saying this?

As I began to seek the Lord for what He has in mind for 2013, my mind went to the Book of Acts chapter 1. Here we find a thirteenth man taking the place of Judas so that the government of the twelve may continue. Notice that this happened before the baptism with Holy Spirit and everything else that followed.

20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take.

21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,

22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.

24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Here is another victorious story of where God overturned evil that was planned against His people, and gave them great victory on the thirteenth day. This is the Book of Esther chapter 9:

16 But the other Jews that were in the king’s provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,

17 On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same rested they, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

18 But the Jews that were at Shushan assembled together on the thirteenth day thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.
Therefore, I proclaim to you brethren, that 2013 will be a year of great victory and establishment of God’s purposes and plans for His Body. He is going to establish what He set up in 2012 and prior. Praise the Lord! God bless you.

“And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” Luke 2:9, 10 KJV

Therefore, expect establishment; expect good and expect victory.

In Christ and with His love,
